PUBLIC VOICE Lab, located in Vienna and Vorarlberg, Austria, is a media enterprise providing research and applications with F/OSS. PVL started in 1994 with a mission to analyse the social shaping of new ICTs that lead to efficient applications and services, which support and enhance communication among enterprises, city administrations, local communities and specific target groups.
Within international research projects, PVL focused on moderation of users and developers in all phases of a project, starting with user requirements, during development reviews and ending up with demonstration and successful exploitation activities. PVL has been supporting and exploiting Open Source developments since 2000. PVL has taken part in various EU funded projects.
